Manchester Makerspace is run by its members. Volunteering is how we keep the shops clean, the tools working and the space improving, and it is a good way to meet other members.
There are three ways to take part.
Bounties are tasks the makerspace wants done. They are displayed on the TVs around the space and in the member portal. A bounty can be a repair, an improvement project or a chore that needs doing.
Some tasks can only be claimed once, some can be repeated, and some come back on a schedule. The task description tells you which.

Once a month the makerspace holds a volunteer and cleanup day. Everyone is welcome. Watch Slack and the calendar for the next one. Events also appear on your Home page under Available Volunteer Opportunities with a Join Event button, so sign up there. Event activity is recorded after the organizers close the event.
Some jobs are always needed, such as sweeping, wiping down surfaces and tidying a shop. If you see something that needs doing, do it. If a job is listed as a bounty, claim it first so your work is recorded.
